A team from ” LIFE FOR EAGLE’S HABITATS” held open lessons by the Maritsa River in preparation for World Water Day on March 22 with two groups of students – from Montessori School “The Secret Garden” and “Otets Paisii” Secondary School, Kuklen.
The lessons were conducted in collaboration with a representative from the Regional Inspectorate of Environment and Water – Plovdiv, and experts from the Ecology Department of Kuklen Municipality were also present.
We presented information about the eagles in Bulgaria, specifically the activities for the conservation of the Lesser Spotted Eagle, with an emphasis on the importance of the Maritsa River for the rich biodiversity in Plovdiv. The students had the opportunity to observe birds with binoculars and spotting scopes.
