We invite students from all over the country who love birds or have participated in the Lesser Spotted Eagle lessons with us to enter the “Life for eagle’s habitats” drawing contest.
Draw a lesser spotted eagle in its natural environment – in the crown of a tree where it builds a nest and raises its young, in the open fields where it feeds, or in the sky where we can glimpse its beautiful flight. Use paper, canvas, or a computer program. Draw it with pencils, felt-tip pens, pastels, watercolors or oils. You have the freedom to portray it as you see it and in any way you like. Participate in the contest and win prizes!
The deadline for submitting works is October 8. A jury will determine the best works in the categories I–IV class, V–VII class and VIII–XII class, and we will announce the winners on October 15 on the competition page. The top three finishers in each age group will receive prizes and their artwork will become part of the 2022 project calendar, which will be distributed across the country. We will publish all received works on the Facebook page of the project.
If you want to get involved in our efforts to protect the eagle and help more people learn about it, send a photo of the drawings to l.varbeva@iag.bg and t.dimitrova@dpshumen.bg, along with the three names of the author, address, contact phone number, city, school and class.
After the work of the jury, the first place winners must send the original drawings to the following address: Executive Forest Agency, Sofia City, Hristo Botev Boulevard 55, for Lyubka Varbeva.
