Fostering a love for the forest in children and awakening their curiosity about it is a long-term process. It cannot be achieved through clichés or a single event.

That’s why we’re continuing!

Well done to the children of Sliven! After the lessons from the forest educators of the Executive Forest Agency, they now know more about the forest ecosystem, the balance in nature, and the world of plants and animals!

More than 340 children from three schools in Sliven participated in the activities organized by the forest educators from the Executive Forest Agency and the Southeastern State Enterprise – Sliven.

The experts visited students from 12th Primary School “Elisaveta Bagryana”, 11th Secondary School “Konstantin Konstantinov”, and 4th Primary School “Dimitar Petrov” in Sliven.

The lessons covered not only forest-related activities and the forestry profession, but also the protection of endangered bird species, including the Lesser Spotted Eagle, efforts to increase its population, and the creation of suitable habitats for the species.

These events are part of the project ” “LIFE for Eagle’s habitats”, which is part of the EU’s LIFE Programme.
