Children from 3rd and 4th classes of the Burgas primary schools “Georgi Benkovski” and “Elin Pelin” participated in lessons on forest pedagogy. In the period 02-04 June 2021, four educational campaigns were held, in which 80 pupils took part.

The lessons were taken outdoor, and the children learned about the wild animals in the forests of Bulgaria, how to distinguish their footprints, about biodiversity conservation, as well as the role of the Lesser Spotted Eagle, its habitats, and their protection.

The events were organized and conducted by Executive Forest Agency (EFA) experts from the project team of “The Eagle’s Lands and Forests” project. More campaigns will take place and a total of 200 children will be trained by EFA by the end of the project.
